Real Debrid add-ons pull in links from a paid Real Debrid account.
Free link add-ons pull in links that are freely available on the internet.

How Do Kodi Add-ons Work?
Kodi add-ons search the internet for video links much the way Google searches for website links.
Links can become bad if the file is removed or too many users cause it to slow down and buffer.
If a link is not working go down the list of available links until a good one is found.
Searching for a good link can be frustrating at times but often can be found within- 4-5 tries.
The default install of most add-ons uses free links which make it the hardest to find a good one.
There are other methods for links include Torrents and paid links with services such as Real-Debrid.
Keep in mind the free links do work they just can take a bit more patience to find a good one.
How To Install a Kodi Add-on
- At the top left click the System Settings Icon
- Click File Manager
- On the left click Add Source
- Click where it says NONE
- Type in the URL of the Add-on Repository
- In the next box down name it and click OK
- Go back to the main menu and click Add-ons

Why Do Kodi Add-ons Not Work or Buffer?
There can be many reasons a streaming video can buffer from a slow internet connection to a streaming server overload.
The first thing to check is your internet speed by using an online speed test tool.
An internet connection should be at least 25Mbps to stream and not buffer, of course, faster the better.
The next thing to check is the hardware being used and make sure it is fast enough for streaming videos and is not overloaded with apps and programs.
The final thing that can cause issues is the add-on being used and the links the add-on pulls in.
Add-ons crawl the internet much like Google to find video links.
These links can go down or become overused by many users causing a slowdown.
If a link does not works or buffers going down the list of other possible links until a good one is found is the best option.
Also, keep updated on the add-ons pulling in the best links which this page list daily.
IMO, Shadow is hands down the best addon if using Real Debrid. I find it odd that it’s not on the list to vote for Shadow

I lost Kodi 18.9 on my daughter’s android box.
Tried to reinstall it again, only to find the only choice online to be Kodi 19.
Installed it only to find 90% or more addons not compatible.
An absolute load of rubbish.

Uninstall Kodi 19, download the Kodi 18.9 APK from the Kodi website (make sure you scroll down to the section that says “Older Releases”). If the box is newer you might need the arm64 version or if it’s a bit older just get the arm version. Place the APK on a USB stick or you could even download it straight to the Android box itself. Open and install the APK file with a file manager like ES File Manager. And you’re done. Make sure to turn off auto update for Kodi in the Google Play store so it doesn’t update to 19 again.
Uninstall Kodi 19 from the settings > applications menu
Download the apk for Kodi 18.9 from the website under older releases
Install the apk for Kodi 18.9 from a USB using a file manager
Turn off automatic updates for Kodi under Google Play Store

Does anyone remember a sports addon. It was called ______ cast. And it came with a _____ cast (live) option. It let you watch NHL, NFL, baseball and soccer I believe. And most importantly for the NHL it would let you choose if you wanted the tv feed for the home team or visiting team?

Longtime Kodi user have been relying on Exodus Redux updated Kodi now no longer even reponds. Tried adding Tempest but both files are “0” K when I went to Install from repository…. source URL move??? Also no luck even adding The Crew repossitory…again wrong source URL???

Bit the bullet and tried it. G’s what a difference, links we could not find sources for (TV, not movies) now have several 1080P sources. We are sold on it. The best of both worlds, Crew and Tempest with RD
debrid account is the only way. the wild west of free links are dying or are already dead. exodus hasten updated scrapers in a year or more. debrid accounts cost less than 5 bucks a month. see the light.

what’s a good addon for old movies. 40’s, 50’s The top adds, crew, venom, tempest etc even with RD don’t scrape these old, not so popular, titles. Any suggestions?

Is anyone else having issues with Exodus Redux? For weeks now the link have not been working….. was saying no stream available on every link i tried even my real debrid ones that i pay for! Also…… even of selected auto play it still would not find one link that works even on stuff i know did work in the past! And now im not even getting a message saying no stream available it just finishes searching says its found so many 1080p and so many 720p etc. Then it just goes back instead of showing results! Ive updated Kodi and the exodus add on and unistalled and reinstalled……still not working…….

I like to download things to a local disk for viewing when I’m traveling. It would be great to either have a list or a notation on addons that support downloading.
Venom has been my ‘go to’ for over a year but a recent update destroyed it. It counts dozens of sources but when it displays the list there’s nothing there. I’m using OpenElec, LibreElec, and a MAC. All are up to date.
TAZ, Alvin, Tempest, and Exodus Redux work fine. Only Venom is broken.

I just tried the new Kodi 19 Matrix and I don’t like what they’ve done with it. It deleted 99% of my addons and says they are “incompatible with this version of Kodi”. Even the popular ones mentioned here don’t work. I can’t even install them from the repos, because those repos don’t work anymore with Kodi 19. Pretty ridiculous. I think I’ll stick with Kodi 18.9 Leia.

I tried about 6 different addons and Tempest wins hands down. It is the fastest by far & real-debrid works and so does Trakt.

First of all, I don’t see how using VPN increases the streaming speed, it doesn’t make sense physically since using VPN is actually increasing the length of physical networks that the video has to travel. It’s all ads to sell VPN. Other than that the crew is the best add on
No one is saying a VPN increases speeds it hides you IP address which is needed in some countries and gets around any ISP blocking.
Yeah I’d have to agree. I’ve tried streaming with and without a VPN and if anything using a VPN (for me) makes it even slower and many addons won’t work altogether. I’ve found it actually blocks a few addons and repos. And yet some only work with a VPN. I reckon it’s a matter or choice. Personally i dont use one as it blocks a lot of stuff for me and slows down my streaming speeds severely.
Be sure the addon doesn’t use torrent links and you should be alright otherwise you’ll get a letter.

Magic Dragon development has been discontinued. Best to look for an alternative if you want new functionality.
