For the longest time i never cared about bluetooth for my laptop pc …just used headphones with wire while listening to music and movies etc. Finally decided to get new pair of Sony hps after old ones ear pads started falling apart so opted for nice wireless bluetooth ones ….but when i went to pair it, didn’t work. Laptops bluetooth was no longer available after Windows 10 update.
Tried like crazy to fix the issue with device manager but kept hitting dead end when i know for fact i had bluetooth access in the past. So i gotta go get dongle now ? !

I bought the Asus USB BT400 because of this website. I spent over 80 hours troubleshooting why it wouldn’t work. I stumbled upon a webpage of somebody with the exact same Dongle asking about why when they unplugged it for the first time while the PC was on, (which was exactly what i did 15 minutes after plugging it in for the first time) the dongle would pick up the bluetooth signal, but there was no audio or media or mic. it was “Connected” but not really. i googled ASUS USB BT400 dying after first unplugging and found several other people who had the exact same problem. that particular dongle is in NO WAY WHATSOEVER worth the 15 bucks. I really don’t think it should be on your list. For the love of all that is holy, don’t buy that piece of garbage. it’s 80 hours of my time down the drain.

I have a Sony TV with Bluetooth and Jabra Bluetooth headphones, they do not connect. The Jabra’s connect with Android and Apple devices but not Sony.
I have had trouble with Bluetooth and the Sony before, IMHO there are two Bluetooth standards, Sony’s and the one for the rest of the world. In reality, it is a Sony ploy to get you to buy ONLY Sony accessories. The solution? Don’t buy Sony.
