I used #9 before and it caused one of my laptop speakers to stop working. The Geek Squad people told me they found and removed five traces of malware and I ended up having to have the audio board on my laptop replaced. Strange that it took three months after I downloaded it for it to affect my laptop like that though.
An .m3u file is basically a text-based playlist containing direct links to video streams. It is not an executable file (like an .exe or .apk), making it highly unlikely to contain traditional viruses or malware. Plus, the iptv-org project on GitHub has a huge community; if it had any malicious code, it would be found quickly. It is more likely the m3u player or something else.
Hmm. Could it have had something to do with the VLC Media Player I was using to stream it?

Thanks for the info. I just tested it, and it is back up. The TVApp does go down more than others, so I moved it to the bottom of the list.
