If your wireless Xbox One controller loses sync with the console there are a few ways to fix this.
Losing sync with the console is a common occurrence such as when switching from using the Xbox One controller on a computer then going back to a console.
The easiest way to pair a wireless controller is to use the Xbox One Connect Pairing Button to Sync the controller.
Steps to Syncing a Wireless Xbox One Controller to Your Console
- On the left side of the Xbox locate the Connect Pairing Button.
- Press the Connect Pairing Button.
- Locate the Connect Button on the wireless controller which is on the top next to the micro USB connection.
- With-in 20 seconds of pressing the Xbox Connect Pairing Button press the Connect Button on the wireless controller. The Xbox button will flash three times and should stay solid. When it stays solid it is synced to the console.
You Xbox One should now be connected / synced to the console if it does not than there are other methods using a micro USB cable.
